xp_wallflower: (Contemplating something profound)

So...

Does anyone know who the blonde lady in the white leather outfit is? And is bustiers and leather pants standard teacher issue these days? She seemed like a teacher, only I'm not sure because I don't remember being introduced to her. But, well, Marie-Ange and Jennie were talking to her, so she could be. Oh! And Catseye. Although, guys, since when did you get about in pink and purple spandex? Tell me that's not the new gym gear, please.

That sounds like Emma's leisurewear, but I didn't know she was in the habit of visiting Charlie's place these days, and certainly not in her recreational atire.

She used to be a teacher there, but she's mostly doing business these days. Actually paperwork-type business, I should say, in case the outfit casued confusion.

That's leisurewear? Well, I guess if you can pull it off, but it seemed a bit breezy to me. Must have gotten damn cold in the winter. What did she teach?

Poker, among other things.

(I'd say I was traducing her reputation here, but I'm not sure that's possible.)

Seriously though: If I remember right, English Lit, Politics/Business related stuff, and psionic self-defence.

There's nothing wrong with a little poker. (She says, never having played for more then cookies.) Although the poker face might be a little difficult for me now without my air scrubber thingie on. Nothing like a mutant power like mine to tell people when you're nervous.

How do you defend against psionics? I'd have thought if you weren't one it'd be impossible. Or was she teaching the other psi types defence?

Even non-psis can learn to shield and things, though its generally more difficult to learn than it is for psis.

Actually, it's entirely possible. Takes a lot of practice, mind you, and it's not infallible - the non psi's always going to be at a disadvantage, especially if the telepath's particularly strong.

But there are ways to keep telepaths out temporarily, and certainly, ways to discourage them from poking their mental noses where they don't belong in the first place. If you'd like, I'll teach you some of the basics.

I can assure you that I have never once owned or worn spandex in any shade, much less pink or purple. Are you sure it was not Elaine?

Do what now?
