No, I do not approve of alcohol. No I will never take up drinking myself. (Or smoking, or taking drugs or having unprotected sex in some wild orgy of sex, drugs and rock and roll. Although I do like the rock and roll.)

Now I'm going to go back to studying. (Admittedly, my actual classes haven't given me much to study yet, but I like to be a bit ahead of the curve.) Please try to keep the noise down to a dull roar.

(Please refer to the above any time you might need to hear my thoughts on any particular opinion where you expect me to disapprove. As long as you're over the age of consent and aren't likely to get anyone I care about in trouble or hurt, I don't care. Although, I will say that doing it when there's a chance you may have to be somewhere important is probably the very height of stupidity.)

Aaaaaand I win my bet with myself. I know you disapprove babydoll, as you've said many times. At great length. But there comes a point where it becomes less of expressing an opinion and more of becoming a nag. I can almost set my watch to you. In fact, let me have the argument for everyone just to get it out of the way.

-You disapprove because I'm underage

-I say I can hold down my job, do well in school and do my extracurricular activities and drink with no harm or detriment to my job, grades or activities, unlike some people who are TWICE my age.

-You still disapprove because it's against the law

-The State of New York Has The Following laws:

Women may go topless in public, providing it is not being used as a business.

You may not smoke within 100 feet of the entrance to a public building.

It is illegal for a woman to be on the street wearing “body hugging clothing."

Citizens may not greet each other by “putting one’s thumb to the nose and wiggling the fingers”.

A fine of $25 can be levied for flirting.

It is against the law to throw a ball at someone’s head for fun.

New Yorkers cannot dissolve a marriage for
irreconcilable differences, unless they both agree to it.

A person may not walk around on Sundays with an ice cream cone in his/her pocket.

While riding in an elevator, one must talk to no one, and fold his hands while looking toward the door.

-I don't know about you, but I've broken SEVERAL of these

Do I care? Strangely enough, not much. I'll let you in on a little secret. The fact that my opinions change nothing, doesn't really matter to me. I'm allowed to have them anyway, as unpopular as they may be.

I get slightly annoyed when people seem to feel the need to call me out every time they think I'm going to disapprove. Like I said to Clarice above, I thought I'd save us all the time and effort and you can all just refer back to this entry any time you think you might need my opinion on your lifestyle choices.

Consider this - when you choose an action, you choose the consequences.

Perhaps the reason that people keep 'calling you out' as you say, is because of your previous actions. All actions have consequences. Those of us who choose to drink - although I must admit that I am safe from your overbearing proclamations of morality - accept the consequences of those choices.

You still have not yet accepted that your lectures have a consequence, and in this case, it is that people now expect you to disapprove.

Well, basically, I'm glad you don't drink. You'd probably be a complete Cadbury end up being the emo one in the corner after half an hour.

Also, because, hey, your powers seem to work more when you're not paying attention and I don't want to end up controlled by you, just because you're too gone to manage not to.

I mean, at least the worst that happens when I'm pissed is that I can't hold shields or manage to do anything.
