9am - 5pm

I will be doing the most tedious skut work on record. Blood taking, talking on the phone, trying to get people on the phone and generally being a dog's body for all the more important people.

I will be so glad when this rotation is over and I get to move onto the next. (Not that there'll be any less skut work.) But I swear the current attending is some kind of lesser demon.

yep. sounds about right for 3rd year rotations.

the sad part is when you have more experience than some of the people working there... (though not the attending. ever)

At least when I get to the surgical rotation I won't be completely terrified given my experience here - but the first one I managed to get was 6 weeks in psychiatry - not my favourite. At least I'll get to rotate out to another site after three weeks. The Grand rounds aren't too bad though.

I don't mind babies so much - I've been thinking of looking into doing some emergency medicine electives in fourth year - might help me out a lot around this place.

Neurology and Surgery look the most interesting right now though. (I have a feeling I may change my mind at any moment, depending on how rotations go. )

ER/surgery was my faves, but I also suspected they would be since that's where I have the most experience, too.

The thing with kids is I hated seeing them in pain or causing them pain or anything like that. They thought being purple was kinda cool though usually.

It gets better, I Swear.

Surgery was obviously my favorite rotation, even though it's exhausting as hell.
Psych is by far the worst. Worst worst worst hours, and it's not even remotely fun.
