I am awake

I have been informed that I am once again a cripple, and it is only the great deal of morphine I currently have coursing through my veins that is keeping me from being in a great deal of pain.

I would like very much to be out of this bed so that I can find a way to rid myself of this entirely too much disability.

I am literally having to dictate this via voice to text.

This is untenable. I will not live my life with only one arm. I am a Doctor. I have things to do, I cannot be a cripple. I won’t be. God, I have so much to do, I’m going to need to call work.

Spare me the pity visits and the sad looks. I have no time for it, or any of you.

Forgive me if I’m mistaken but are you not the one whose mutant ability allows them to largely ignore their inability to actively see the world around them?

Or was I somehow missing that fact?

Do talk to me when you stop being able to do that though. I believe I might listen to you in such a circumstance.

Still blind. My powers don't make me "less blind," they change how I perceive the world, but I'm still blind.
