So, I've been back at Westchester U for only a short time but it already feels like I've been here forever. Still, I'm managing to hold it all together, which is nice. Much better then last year when it felt like I was pulling all nighters every second day just to keep up with all the coursework.

It might actually be that I'm getting better at scheduling 'All the Things', shock and awe.

Still, what I'd most like to do right now is drop everything and fly to wherever it is my boyfriend is this week. He was a bit vague on the phone last night, so I figure he's doing something he can't quite talk about over open lines. Which just makes me want to be there more.

Vee, you working late this week? I feel like a trip into New York to visit people, and I figured I could cook for XFI. :)

Very true, but I didn't want to go all assuming things, you know where that leads. Donkeys.

You want anything specific for dinner? Or can I experiment on you food wise? I've got some new receipe books I haven't tried anything from yet and I could pick Lorna's brains for anything new she's been doing before I come over.

Assuming things leads to donkeys? Your assumptions have taken on entirely new, strange shapes than my assumptions ever have.

You can experiment on us. Most of us aren't that picky and if you fail miserably we will find some poor schmuck who is desperate for food to pawn it off on.

You've never heard the 'Assumptions make an ass out of you and me' cliche? I envy you your ignorance on such matters.

I'm thinking assumptions lead to grey donkeys. I'd have thought brown but it seems like a much more 'grey' shaped word to me.

*mad food scientist laughter* I'll make Pumpkin Gnocchi with Spinach pesto then.

I've heard it, I just think it's ridiculous and generally sort of stupid is all. I choose to forget it as often as possible. I like my version better anyway, with your assumptions landing you a brand new donkey to take home to your da.

I'm thinking assumptions result in this guy right here (http://www.real-whitby.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/donkey.jpg).

That sounds awesome, actually.

I like your version of assumptions much better as well. He made me laugh anyhow, and considering the CNN report I just saw, that's a good thing.

It does, doesn't it? Just found it on my search for things to cook and I really want to try it.

He's the love of my life. We try to keep our love on the down low, though. It's so hard for people to understand our connection.

What CNN report?

It just came on the TV. Two mutant teenagers from Genosha are asking for asylum.
